Moving & Handling People
Course Description
Developed and delivered by St.John Ambulance this new style course reflects the needs of the modern workplace. This is a practical ‘hands-on’ course which is flexible to meet individual needs.
This course covers the techniques and risk assessment process used in the moving and handling of people in a care situation and covers the following:
• Assisting mobile people
• Assisting people in beds
• Assisting people in chairs
• Handling lifting aids
• Risk assessment
The client is assessed throughout the course. This course can only be attended by people who have already attended the principles course.
